The Town of Lucca
Lucca, is one of the most ancient towns of Etruria rich in cultural heritage and traditions. The town is completely enclosed by ancient monumental Renaissance walls which date back to the 1500th century. nearly 4km in long.

	The centre of town is full of splendid ancient buildings, in Via Fililungo you will find the church of San Michele in Foro each of its loggia columns differ, some are twisted, others sculpted, an eccentric building to say the least. Just across from the church in Piazza San Martino, you will find the Duomo of San Martino with many masterpieces such as Jocopo Della Quercia’s Tomb of Ilaria Del Carretto and "The Holy face" said to be the true effigy of Christ attracting many international pilgrims.
