Charming, renovated farmhouse situated in the Lucca valley with magnificent views overlooking the whole of Lucca as far as the mountains near Pisa and the ancient, nearby church of San Bartolomeo with frescoes and paintings dating back to the 15th century. This area enjoys a favourable climate with mild temperatures.
The villa has been pleasantly and comfortably furnished and outdoor area has a 4x10 Mts swimming pool, a pergola for outdoor dining and furnished areas for sunbathing and relaxing in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. From pool area the views are even more spectacular.
The villa is just a short distance from the tiny village of Ciciana and just 12 km from the town of Lucca.

Lovely hilltop farmhouse near Lucca. The building was built in the 1700s, and has been in the owners' family for generations. In the early 80s the family undertook a radical renovation of the farmhouse, transforming it into a wonderful, comfortable home.
The property is surrounded by a huge stretch of woods. From its windows and from the garden you can take in the subtle changes of colour between the green pine trees, the chestnut trees, the acacias and the olive trees.
No other buildings or traces of human activity are visible. And the only sounds are those of the wildlife, with a porcupines, badgers, weasels and squirrels.
The interiors have been furnished with taste, with antique pieces from the Tuscan tradition. On the ground floor the ceilings have ancient beams, the paving is of antique terracotta tiles, and the outside walls are one meter thick at the base which keeps the interior cool.
Outdoors there is an original wood-burning oven, where you can cook bread and pizzas and there are many areas for relaxing and dining "al fresco" in an absolutely peaceful atmosphere. for the delight of guests is 12.2 x 6 mt splendid swimming-pool), partly in the shade of the old chestnut trees. The poolside is well equipped for sunbathing and also has a dressing-room.
Near the house is a large vine covered pergola with ,adjacent, an outdoor shower and WC, a large barbecue and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing lunches and dinners around the pool.
From the swimming pool a short path through the woods leads to a little cascade and brook rustling through the ferns and chestnut trees, a cool oasis even on the hottest days.
The surrounding landscape rich in green forests and olive groves and the ancient hamlets and villages, Romanesque churches and castles, dotted here and there, complete the picture.
From the cool of this amazing "sanctuary" one can comfortably reach both the Tuscan art cities and the Versilian coast. This small group of hills which historically, marks the border between Lucca and Pisa, is mentioned, by Dante, in the Divine Comedy.

The tower has a private path leading down to the sea with a furnished, sunbathing platform, reached via a short flight of steps carved into the rock.
At the foot of the tower are two terraces; on the first is a 6x4 Mts swimming-pool which has a beautiful view, and on the second terrace, surrounded by vegetation a is a panoramic terrace equipped for sunbathing and relaxing.

Wonderful 18th Century villa near Lucca situated at the top of a hill with a 180° panoramic view. The hills around S. Alessio are renowned for being one of the most exclusive areas in the vicinity of Lucca, a city which, to this day, has maintained the elegance of its artistic heritage.
The villa is furnished with antiquities and decorated with great attention detail and carefully designed to create an atmosphere of complete serenity.
The perfume of the flowers enhances the pleasure of relaxing outside, perhaps reading a book with a glass of good wine, and enjoying the sensations of times gone by. The external patio, with its beautiful views, can be accessed from the living room and kitchen.
